Hello Everyone,
My name is Yvonne Foote, I am a postgraduate student currently pursuing a Master’s in Technical Communication and eLearning at the University of Limerick (UL) and I am in year two and due to complete my studies later this year. I also have a BA (Hons) in History and Sociology, having graduated from UL in 2009.
I believe that effective communication, is key to success, whether academically or professionally, and I am committed to developing and enhancing my skills in technical communication and eLearning.
I am a dedicated professional, with a strong background in administration and education. I work as Staff Officer in the Examinations Office at the Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands Midwest.
In my role I play a key part in supporting all aspects of the University’s assessment processes and academic integrity. I am passionate about lifelong learning and I firmly hold the belief that education should be accessible for all regardless of disability and/or socioeconomic background.
I am a single parent of two children, now both adults, and I am immensely proud of both of them. I am also a super proud grandmother to a wonderful, adorable and funny two year old grandson.
I have a deep passion for art and being creative, whether that is on while painting, either on canvas or through digital creations or in the kitchen baking. I am a Munster Rugby and Limerick Hurling supporter and I’ve witnessed many losses through out my 53 years, but I’ve also had the pleasure of being at the Heineken Cup final in Cardiff in 2006, and all of the recent All Ireland victories for Limerick.
